Sad to see the murder of two young Sailors. The assailant is reported to have attempted to take his own life. Guess the cowards always screw that one up. My guess is the Navy will have a review of all Sailors weapons and mental health qualifications, will react heavy handed and train en masse at the urge of a lawyer somewhere in DC.... A tragedy. Not very common in the Navy that a armed Sailor attacks others. First time I can recall in 10 years or so.

Crime of passion, I'm guessing.

One was the girlfriend and the other was an innocent bystander who may have tried to interfere in the situation. It is sad, but it is a common problem among the civilian population. Nothing you can regulate out even if the laws of fraternization become more and more stringent.
