Iraq: Winning, Disconnecting From the Matrix

[Kat - Denizen Opinion] What we got here is a failure to communicate. Some men you can't reach, that is they just don't listen when you talk reasonable so you get what we had here last week, which is the way he wants it, well he gets it, and I don't like it any better than you men. - Cool Hand Luke History, they say, is written by the victors. Except for modern history, which is written by the media with all the snapshots, sound bites, so called expert analysis, and two minute pundit riffs trying to tell the story...

And links...I should add. That is how we got here in the first place. People who would look.

And cannoneer...thank you. this piece has been ruminating in my mind for a long time.

I feel like Moulder from the X files. the truth is out there.

That's a good question. As the once independent organizations like google and yahoo are swallowed up by the mass, are they subject to editorial practices that force content under ground?

Or, do they continue to work solely on the concept of "most hits, top placing"? I think they do both right now and that is an important question.

So, how do we breach the silence of being edited out by google? Totally by old fashioned processes, I think, such as email or chat forums.

One issue that worries me is the "caching" of internet documents and articles. Both Google and Yahoo do a great job of this. However, as time goes by, I become increasingly doubtful about the objectivity of Google and Yahoo, and worry about their ability to collude with their liberal allies in re-writing, deleting, and glossing over the historical record.

Are we confident that enough is being done to guarantee that a truly "independent" and "objective" entity is safeguarding the historical internet record?

Congratulations, Kat, and thank you. You must be exhausted. I believe this post is going to reverberate throughout the blogosphere and echo in DC and New York.

They tried to rob us of victory. They have to pay for that treachery. They are going to be sorry for waking up the sleeping giant that is the Unorganized Cyber Militia of the United States.
