Well, considering how much of their space program is centered on satellite killing, duh. BUt thanks for the heads up.;)
A lot of it will take place in cyberspace too, come to think of it. Of course, John has no comment and he knows nothing about it.

MICLICs: During Gulf I, in '91, we had a whole steel-hat full of opened MICLICs that had to either be inspected, sealed, and turned in...or used. What a no brainer. We stacked two of 'em against a bridge abutment on the Euphrates, backed off a mile or so and touched 'em off.
Oh yeah, Engineer Happy Dance time.
And the best part was the brigade command net that lit up with questions about SADMs by Saddam.

That was a fun one, John, thanks.

Interesting to see that rammer staff in operation - it makes perfect sense now.

Obviously not Canadians - wearing helmets, and would never let crew drill like that get posted. Marine gun dogs having a good time.

I got other comments, too - but I'll save those for a post.

Clearly, they read the results of the study we completed in January...

Which is a good thing -- although, despite ASAT developments in the Eastern Hemisphere, I'll betcha Congress will insert prohibitions against our own ASAT testing into Defense Authorization bills, just as it did throughout the eighties.

Hey, ry: "A review of Chinese military doctrine and numerous writings makes it clear: China does not believe that space can, or should, be free of military capabilities. China believes that it must develop space weapons for its own security, specifically in preparation for a possible conflict with the U.S. over Taiwan."

Most of that anticipated Blue on Red action might take place 'way *above* the briny deep...

Actually, Mike - ya don't want open wings on a penetrator, until the guy you're extracting opens 'em up to sit in it.

At least that's the way the ones I used worked.
