There was another common thread to who got invited. All of us, one way or another, do more than just bloviate on line - we *do* things, tangible things, in support of the troops. Seemed pretty tame to me. Most people are playing it down as a ho-hum, so what (at least if they weren't on the invite list). I still got an hour - an hour - of some pretty important time. And anyone who thinks that you get that kind of time (lets not call it access, because that implies a lineal continuity of same that isn't involved here) without there being some sort of percieved payback is fooling themselves going in. I did make contacts that may well turn into access - to act on things I care about. Of course it was political.
