They are organizing a protest or, in their words, protect Ground Zero from the number one terrorist. NYPD originally refused the visit on the grounds of safety and security. Stoning is, after all - one of Islam's death penalty methods. The idea that he wants peace with the US? Good. Then he won't mind jumping through a few hoops like calling off the insurgency in Iraq, telling Syria to stand down, or dismantling his nukes and his reactor. And we will take 50 years to decide if he is 'safe' and make sure our borders and people inside our borders are secure. We have never learned to develop the patience. We are in a good position to do so.
