                Infrastructure inspection can be hazardous to your continued employment. 

I know a former Amtrak inspector who squawked about one particular trestle so much that he was summarily downsized. His replacement was walking the same structure a month later and got dumped down an embankment when the sole remaining bolt at a joint gave way.

Amtrak *did* re-hire the squawker. Fixed the bridge, too...
