Smith 36th Combat Aviation Brigade Public Affairs Office LSA ANACONDA, Iraq Apache pilots from Company B, 1st Battalion, 149th Aviation Regiment (Attack), 36th Combat Aviation Brigade and Company A, 2nd Battalion, 159th Aviation Regiment, 12th Combat Aviation Brigade, engaged extremists and saved a critically-wounded Soldiers life during a firefight in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, on June 30, 2007.                 The video belongs to a 1st CAV aircraft that extracted 2 pilots from a shot down OH-58D south of Baghdad...if you look closely at the video you can see the aircraft is a &quot;D&quot; model.  The 1-149th still has &quot;A&quot; model Apaches.  

There have been 2 Apache &quot;Spur Rides&quot; in the last week...great job by everyone involved in both units.

                ...another perfect example of why we win when we fight (I&apos;m talking the military here, not the political &quot;leadership&quot; in the US). This kind of spirit, mental and procedural agility, and all-around balls proves that we could switch all our gear for the bad guys&apos; and STILL kick their collective, scruffy, moth-eaten, barbaric arses.
