Shawn D. Gajdos, 25, was killed when the vehicle he was traveling in came under attack by enemy forces using an improvised explosive device and small arms fire June 6 in Baghdad, Iraq. Gadjos was an infantryman in 2nd Battalion, 16th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division. His home of record is Grand Rapids, Mich.
