Be of stout heart, for you are not alone

We need something uplifting here, given John’s downer inducing piece from yesterday. Enter, stage right, Bill Whittle of Eject! Eject! Eject! with his typical brilliance. Guess what?

You Are Not Alone.

(Warning: it’s a two parter and realllllllly long. But unlike me Whittle is coherent and readable.)

[Armorer adds - Oooo. Nice. Go. Read.]

[Update: Part 2 of Whittle's screed is *exactly* why I changed the tone of this blog. And imposed the Rulez. I just was tired of the rancor without resolution. -the Armorer]

BS - you need to get the "backwards" typefont... Oh, never mind. The template doesn't recognize it.

Yay ... Bill finally posted it. He's been threatening/promising for days. Dang ... I didn't really want to get any work done today.

That is a fascinating read at Eject!Eject!Eject! and an admirable goal. As optimistic as I would like to try to be about an end run on the cycle of civilizations, I'm personally not convinced that the thinning of the herd associated with the cycle is something that can or maybe even should be avoided.

The herd most certainly needs some thinning, I'll grant you that. I'm not sure that the intent here is to avoid thinning. Typical thinning, however, would entail the loss of wheat with the chaff, so to speak, because of regional association. Instead, the Ejectia community is not regional, it is virtual - so I would hope that the thinning would be more ... surgical.
