In belated birthday news...

Turned 5(X) yesterday. Things I've learned so far:

1. When you get hurt, you stay hurt.
2. Getting up...is hard to do.
3. When reading, you discover your arms are not as long as they used to be.
4. You look more and more like your dad...when he got older.
5. You learn to appreciate new things, like "unremarkable" diagnoses.
6. Choosing what to eat is based on after effects, not taste.
7. People younger than you speak a different English dialect.
8. Your daughter laughing at what you just said is not a good sign.
9. Always look on the bright side...you could be dead. This is a position you find taking more frequently.
10. No matter how bad things get, because you're growing old in America, you're the luckiest SOB in the world.

Moving on - Best Morning Quote:

Me: "Did you hear Nancy Pelosi wants to go to Iran?"

Wife: "I hope she does...and they keep her for 444 days. But they're
probably too smart to do that."

Heh.

Cheers,

Dusty

Happy Birthday, Dusty! Sadly, I know too many of these from personal experience as well. I don't have kids, but this book might help with the Teenagers ... *grin* BTW, since the official Adjutant calendar was missing your data, this time it ain't my fault.

Happy Birthday!!!!!

Dusty, Happy Birthday! Being 5(X) myself I've noticed all you mention, plus a few extra. I've avoided the elevating waistline but I've decided tieing shoes isn't all that important and they should give a medal to the guy who came up with loafers. I've also noticed that the barber doesn't take as long to cut my hair as he used to, probably because there isn't that much of it left.
