A visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 11, 2007, at Vaughn Funeral Home, Weston. The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 12, 2007, at the funeral home.                 The troops we now have in Iraq, Afghanistan, and elsewhere demonstrate that we are still fortunate enough to have such heroes in THIS generation&apos;s military, too.
