Rush Limbaugh's Cat.

Ah, Rush and pets. From Radio Equalizer: DEHUMANIZING RUSH Even His Cat Generates Controversy In the twisted world of partisan politics, how could Rush Limbaugh's cat manage to become an issue? The answer is that when it comes to dehumanizing a key conservative enemy, nothing is sacred in this stage of the game. I used to listen to Limbaugh a lot, 10 years ago. Then I got tired of the "Long Time Listener, First Time Caller, and I gotta say, Mega-Mega-Mega-Dittoes on [fill in the blank issue] geez yer a genius Rush!" callers, and listened only to his monologues that...

I do not lop off kitty claws. They are needed for hunting and escape up trees. They have to exercise and they get frustrated and mean when they can't stretch their fingers.

My cats do yoga too...durn their furry little butts. They go down to the driveway when the sun is out and proceed to lie down. Then the grooming begins. Since it is rather graphic and all, we won't go into detail.

But the way they stretch all the way up their backs and down looks like it just plain feels good. Then they flop over on their backs and stretch that way. They then scratch whatever itches on their backs, but when they get to their ears..the looks of ecstasy on their faces when they get that hind leg into that ear to dig around is priceless.

Papa kitty has sired five kittens. All of them have been fixed so we won't have any more, but he will pounce on one of his kits and give him or her a thorough face ears and neck grooming.

Mama kitty weaned the little darlings when they were five months old. She got tired of them pushing on her for a feeding and started swatting them and hissing. I have seen her give Tigger the feline version of 'I have a headache' by clawing and growling...and even biting.

Heh.

Sorry if I seemed kinda misogynistic above, but neurotypical wimmin really do scare me, somewhat.

I wish there were more weird wimmin.

Oh, yeah, Cricket, it's obvious to anyone of the meanest understanding that we share the same kind of emotions with other mammals, and maybe some thoughts, and maybe share the more basic emotions (fight or flight) even with lizards. I am *so* over that fatassed midwestern Limbaugh critter, getting a pass on his opiate addiction while Mr. Peaey is rotting in jail with no pardon from Jeb Bush, whose own daughter was caught using crack more than once and is walking around free!

Argghhh!

Rush is fulla poo, here. My kitty (until he got old) was capable of feeding himself from what he killed. He likes it when I feed him, and I give him the best food I can, but he wants me to pet him, and express love for him, before he starts eating.

Now, my extra cat is as Rush describes, more like a creepy, scary, neurotypical female human than a normal autistic cat. I love her anyway and try to look out for her, mutilated as she was by a previous bad (probably female) human who had her fingers cut off. (I think that messed up her mind)

As to animals not feeling or having emotions...I seem to recall a story of Balaam and his donkey.
The donkey saw the angel, bowed and would not move.
Hm.

Our Lord was born in a stable and laid in a manger.
Near critters. There were shepherds tending their flocks...so do you think the angels watched the sheep so the shepherds could testify of Him? Seems to me that Christ used symbols involving animals quite a lot...the bit about gathering Israel as a hen gathers her chicks..definately no protective instincts there.

Dogs rescuing their owners?

Rush is dead wrong on this one and I hope his sheeple call him on it.

I'm a cat person... and I do love my cats. They love me right back, and they know when I'm upset and need some furry lovin'. Animals are great for that. They sense your mood, and leave you alone when you need it- or pay extra attention when you need that too.

That being said... why is it that one of my two cats insist upon pooping while I'm brushing my teeth!?!?! The litter box is in the bathroom, but that is just gross.

                Lucky punks.
The worst thing JEss has done to me is drag me across the country and force me to live in places where I can't have a dog or a cat. I can't keep one with good conscience, not in a dinky apt---that's not fair to them.
(gollum turns a greener shade with envy).

Rush is entitled to hys opynyon.
I am not a 'cat' person. That said, I love my cats. They are intelligent, personable and
smart. They are affectionate and come when we call. Yes faster when hunger motivates them, but since they are outdoor cats, they also hunt for their food. They still come when we call them.

They have never clawed, bitten or shown any signs of vicious behavior, and I have young children as well as an mentally handicapped teen.
In fact, one cat makes it a point to sit on my son's lap when he is waiting for the bus. She
purrs, kneads his knees and rubs up against him
EVERY morning. Since he has been subject to some persecution because of his handicap, to have an animal love him unconditionally is truly a gift from God.

They tag us all over the house when we let them in to warm up. It is sort of a standing joke that we feed them raw meat scraps from time to time, so when I call the kids for dinner, the cats come running too.

We are going to be taking them on vacation; not just because we don't wanna pay for boarding, but we own another house and the garage needs to be cleaned out of vermin. They will earn their keep as hunters, but they are pets too.

We call their deposits of prey 'rent.'
