I do a lot of surfing for various things related to what I write and to school, and I accumulate a lot of detritus along the way that I save off to a catch-all folder for later review. I usually toss about 90% of what I save upon closer inspection--a lot of what I collected that night went in the trashbin. Believe it or not, though, I started out that evening looking for immigration-related images and resources (thesis fodder), and followed a number of links through all sorts of strange places and ended up at an \index of images, not a BBS or webpage--these were text links, not pictures. It might have been what you say, but I couldn't honestly tell you for sure, nor how to get back to that.
