Remember this list well, whenever someone tells you that the United States should be a "neutral", "honest" broker between Hezbollah and Israel.

My first gun team leader, Steve Sabol, was in Heavy Guns, Weapons Co., 1st Battalion, 8th Marines on that day... The force of the blast knocked him and his Platoon Sergeant down when it happened...

*snort* And they say that WE started this...

*humph*

Rest in peace, brothers... Semper Fi.

When I read that list I wonder what the hell is going through the minds of the anti war bunch... I forgot... nothing of value.
These were the first to fall in the war against terror or more plainly the war against totalitarian islamic domination.

Capt. Boccia's father used to teach at the local community college in Jacksonville, NC.
I took his class one Fall semester. He was a nice old guy with a sense of humor and gift for teaching math to the mathematically impaired. He always wrote on the blackboard facing us (kind of writing behind himself) because as he said 'he'd taught in the NYC public school system for over 30 years and you didn't survive if you turned your back on the class.'
On that 22nd of October, he didn't seem so happy and he told us that he wouldn't be in the next day.
That he had lost his son in Beirut and he wanted us to go home that night and hug our loved ones close because you just never know what the future holds.

Up to that point, he'd never mentioned his son and he never did mention it again but I know that every October 23rd, Mr. Boccia would go to the Beirut Memorial to honor his son.
