Gunblogger Rendevous!

SWWBO and I are here this weekend, while Prodigal Son guards the demesne.

The Gunblogger Rendezvous!

To keep you busy while we're getting there, another Whatzis? This one... well, this one is for MajMike.

Geez, John, did you use enough Brasso? LOL

8x56R for the re-chambered A-H M95 Stutzen... Shine up your buttons with Brasso- It's only tuppence a tin! You can buy it or nick it at Woolworths, But I doubt if they'll have any in!

it would appear to be .50 cal for the M85... [spidey senses are tingling, waiting for trap to spring]

Fifty cal round for the M8 spotter on the 106mm Reckless Rifle. Or not.

All... or not. Hehehehehehehehe. My eeeevillll plan is working! BWA-ha--ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha! [posted via wireless at Phoenix Sky Harbor]

8mm lebel

Maj Mike suggests a tank round like maybe a 90MM, or maybe an old 120mm.

12.5 mm anti tank round from mauser single shot of WW1 vintage.

Second guess, a Boys .55

hard to see thru the Brasso glare washing out the picture's background, but the top pic appears to have the faint background of squarish pattern... so he obviously intends to lead us down the 2" quilted blankie road for perspective... therefore, i'll attempt a bypass rather than stumble farther into the ambush... based on the shiny reflection of what appear to be long rectangular flourescent lights, i'll assume that the thingies are setting on pinkish kitchen tile (12" square), all of which leads me to the refrigerator to grab a beer and have some fortification while i stare at this puppy (all the while thinking jim b is on the right path about that 90mm bit) (but that is one honking big bit of bullet to be flinging)

I don't think it's an 8x56R cartridge - those were fully rimmed, not semi-rimmed like this one. The gradual slope of the bottle neck sure looks like that cartridge, though.

13mm mauser anti tank round of WWI and the father of that most durable of rounds the .50 cal aka 12.7x99.

I think it's some kind of plastic prop, like a pencil sharpener or something.

AL was close, with caliber being off - and Chris gets it. 13mm Mauser, the daddy of the .50. The MajMike hint - remember the WWI tank discussion? Where MajMike said he'd have to spend time staring at WWI tanks for an upcoming Whatzis? I twisted that *just* a bit.

And now it is official John admits to being "twisted" I think.

Happy shootin to the Castle Couple. Kick some ass guys

Hah! two in a row, now if only I had caught the mistake on the last one, the brit rifle was the EM-2 not the EM-40, don't know why I put 40, still though I do enjoy being right. ;)
