Castle Argghhh! Salvage 'Я Us! Owen having twitted us about our weapons being used against us and our Allies, and my pointing out it was old news... what with the pictures of the M36 Jackson in Yugoslavian colors - along comes Blake, who is doing with M36 Jacksons what Beauchamp Tower Corporation is doing with the USS John Rodgers - repatriating them, so they will do no more harm to American Interests! Well, the Rodgers *was* serving American interests, and mine. By preserving her for us until we were ready for her! Here's Blake's tale: John, Well, we got our...

                John,

With respect to the "lavish accommodations" you noted in the background of one of my photos, I've been living in comparably luxurious surroundings since I got over here two months ago.

And by the standards of what I was used to in the infantry, they aren't all that bad. The tents have wooden floors, standard nylon-and-aluminum cots, electric lights, 220V electric power outlets, and the air conditioners seem to be able to keep the tents about 20 degrees (F) cooler than the outside temperature. Which means it's only about 105 inside the tent in the afternoons. Fortunately, I'm seldom in the tent in the daytime.

Me, I'm not complaining much about the accommodations. But you should hear the whining from the people in the Division headquarters element who are being displaced out of their cushy CHU's (container housing units, pronounced "chews,") and into the tents as their replacements filter onto the FOB.
