...unless yer one of us. One of the many things I liked about Fort Irwin was the historical nature of these signs. I can't find my pic of the PzIV sign......

LOL Wonder if the one at the Fort Riley range is still there "No Stopping or Standing: Stationary Vehicles may be mistaken for Targets"

Then there's that side road that (before the post was closed and they put in the bypass) was the quickest way from I-70 thru Old Post and Ogden towards the Manhattan airport. It ran alongside the golf course for a good bit. I was driving along it one Sunday around noon with a friend of mine who was stationed there with the Quarter Cav. :PLONGGGGGG: Something hit the truck like the trump o' doom. I pulled over, thinking *I*'d hit something. We looked over the tires, looked under the undercarriage to see if I'd snagged something, popped the hood and checked radiator and belts (remember this is c 1978 and we were two young ladies in their Sunday go to meeting best). Pretty soon, there's this sheepish shout from the golf course. "M'am, I think that incoming round was my golf ball." I've driven past plenty of 'range warning' signs, but the only time I've been hit was by that stray drive!!!

My favorite 'related' sign would be the 'CAUTION: LOW FLYING AIRCRAFT!' sign they have (had) at the US Army Yuma Proving Ground. It's along the road where it runs along the edge of a valley. There's a helicopter depot in the valley. What makes that particular sign so impressive is that it's in letters nearly six-feet high - and all one line as the sign is also only six-feet high. Still had a few clips out of it that looked like they'd match up with landing skids...
