I also want to thank you for the link to the book. I have just read the timeline that was provided at Amazon.com. From memory, it is accurate. From the recounting of friends who had to swim out their homes to my memory of when the winds started howling in earnest, the timeline is accurate for Mississippi. This goes against the grain of what most everyone is saying but after reading the timeline, it's amazing that all were evacuated from New Orleans within 6 days of the hurricane. The whole region was decimated. Major routes into and out of the region were impacted. Also, the Coast Guard is the lost story. They rescued so many people and their dedication is amazing.
