Thanks for linking this one. I would have never seen it otherwise and it is a great story. Wayne Newton is now at the top of my list of good guys.

Wayne Newton has been doing overseas USO performances for the troops for decades, I believe. And he's a recent-past Honorary Nat'l Chairman of the USO. But still, he just shot to the top of the list of my favorite celebrities.

Correction to my comment above about Wayne Newton: He's the current Chairman of the USO Celebrity Circle, which is a more-than-ceremonial position.
