Thoughts relevant to the issues of the day.

Military power wins battles, but spiritual power wins wars.
- George C. Marshall, 1880 - 1959

Next to a battle lost, the greatest misery is a battle gained.
- Arthur Wellesley, First Duke of Wellington, 1769 - 1852

Keep those in mind as you read this from the (not New York) Times.

The wrong target: Terrorism, not America, is a real and present threat to our freedoms.

Al-Haditha, a town on the Euphrates northwest of Baghdad, is still a place where fighters blend into the populace and literally use civilians as cover. - Henry Alfred Kissinger

I beg to differ. In the battle of the sexes: even if we win, we loose. ***Whatwasthatdear???***

Oh, I'm definitely in Boq's corner on this one. Sometimes being right is just wrong.

Fuzzy - When you're married, there isn't much surrender when conflicts escalate towards verbal battle. Heading off said battle instead is the only method for long term survival and mutual respect, because in battle you ALWAYS end up saying something you'll regret. Ry is correct, someone being right is wrong.

Sometimes, in the battle of the sexes, two little words can be the difference between losing the battle and losing the entire war. "Yes Dear".

Here I am trying to be lighthearted and everyone takes me so seriously! *grmpf*
