                Oh, yessir, Cannoneer! That&apos;s one of my favorites. Just goes to show that you can accomplish quite a lot if yer really determined and grumpy, and not too worried about afterwards.  Those guys are right up there with the men of the U.S Privateer &quot;General Armstrong&quot;, in 1814. (IMHO)

                <![CDATA[In 1942, sailing past the Jersey shore after dark was trolling for torpedoes. The idiots in charge of Civil Defense didn't seem to realize that the sub crews worked the night shift, too.
