It's on. Austin Bay is chatting us all up and reinforcing (as if we need it) just how kewl and important we are!

Austin Bay gave a good rouser for an intro. Buzz Patterson is up introducing the first panel - which is Milblogs: Past, Present, and Future. Present are Smash, Blackfive, John of Op-For, Steve of ThreatsWatch, and CJ from A Soldier's Perspective.

Buzz is slamming the MSM for their myopia on how the war is covered. Austin made the point that what most of us want to do is provide a broader story and context to the coverage of the war.

CJ is telling why he blogs, a 'therapy' for processing his war experiences (CJ was in 3ID and participated in both Thunder Runs into Baghdad and the first invasion of Fallujah. Over to Smash.

This panel has been a lot of fun, with Col Hunt the major reason for it. The fact that it's the warfighters and an embedded journalist speaking, well, the rest of us was just a warm-up.

AW1 Tim - Descriptions of attire - I wore my Castle tank top. Strangely enough, even though it's faded quite a bit everyone I showed it to liked it better than Sgt.B's brand new T-shirt with the same logo, hmmmmmmmm.

Comrade Dean, I was wondering if you might be able to relate to us just how Jesus communicated his displeasure with us to you. Were their any narcotics or alcohol involved? Sleep deprivation, or the normal voices in one's head? Special words and phrases that jumped off the magazine pages or the television screen? Enquiring minds want to know....... BTW: His name is NOT Jesus Christ. Christ is a title, a derivitive of Chrystos or Christos, the Greek word for "Messiah". Therefor it should be "Jesus the Christ", etc. His actual name is Jesus, at least, in the Latin (which would have been pronounced Yaysoos). In his own language of Aramaic, he would have been known as Yeshua. His last name would most likely have been Ben Yussef, for Yeshua Ben Yusseff, or translated to the vernacular, "Joshua, son of Joseph". Anyway, I thought it best to offer some clarification so that, next time He calls, you can address Him properly. Respects, AW1 Tim

It is definitely worth the price of the plane ticket. Understatement of the year! I have a feeling that the best part of the conference is going to be the after party. The before party was awesome enough by itself. :D I can't wait 'til I have had enough sleep to blog about it completely and coherently.

Ok, now that we have proven our power by getting the HBC (Hot Blogger Chicks) pics posted, we now have a list of demands. 1. Howard Dean is to be staked out on an anthill at high noon. 2. Hillary Clinton is to be handcuffed to Rush Limbaugh for a deathmatch. 3. We want pictures of the Hot Castle Denizenettes posted. We may negotiate on demands 1 and 2, but 3 is a must.
