SGT Whiskey

Name Muffy - call the roll.

hzzz.

name Whiskey...

name Whiskey...

name Whiskey...

hzzz. big-tribble-with-legs strike name Whiskey from watch list. hzzz.

He got his name because he was a licker. And he enjoyed his work. We told people he was a Jack Daniel's terrier.

SGT Whiskey, member of the Exterior Guard with additional duties as Toe-Licker-In-Chief has passed to "Piddler's Green," the Rest Stop next to Fiddler's Green where Furry People go to await the arrival of their follicly-challenged hy'umans. He's in good company, preceded there by Sebastian, Little Guy, and Mickey. The Oklahoma Canine Cohort has completely passed from the Demesne.

Whiskey, dammit boy, come home!

Now is the time at Castle Argghhh! when we dance sing a soul to the Great Hunting Ground and Tennis Ball Chasing Facility.

Fare thee well, thou good and faithful friend.

Great farkin' gobs of spittle, I *hate* entropy.

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. My condolences and warm hugs to all of you.

*raises glass* To Whiskey...

Comrade, Cheers... there's nothing so sad as the loss of a child or a dog. Both have that simple love and affection that forgives all and accepts all. I've seen both in my day, and both are hard to take. The nice thing, though, is that they'll be waiting for you when you get around to showing up, and it'll be like ya never left. Here's a whiskey to you, and a bravo zulu to the one tnat's got his PCS stamped. Respects, AW1 Tim

Damned shame John. Sorry.

So sorry to hear about your loss. Condolences to & you SWWBO.

Having recently encountered the effects of entropy myself, you and Beth have my deepest condolences for your sorrow.

Sorry to hear about Whisky. I know he's enjoying an eternity of ball and squirrel chasing already!

Shite. Poor li'l fella. I'll raise a toast tonight.

I'm so sorry, John and Beth.

May he rest in peace, and may you cherish the memory of his presence in your lives. My deepest sympathies and condolences to both of you.

I am so sorry. Losing a family member - be it 2 legged or 4 legged - is tough. - hfs

He ain't gone. He's doing forward recon.

dang it. I'm so sorry to hear about Whiskey. I know how much your 4-leggeds mean to you guys.

my condolences to you and your SWWBO

My condolences for your loss.

I'm so sorry, I know this has to be hard

A big juicy T bone waiting for him. Godspeed and may there be squirrels to chase and holes ready to dig, with big pastures and sunny skies.

Nothing is quite as painful as realizing that something or someone that loved you is gone. Some few people and a great many dogs, so said a wonderful writer, are in heaven. Dogs only want to be part of your pack and they are the best buddies you'll find. So sorry for your loss. Dan Patterson

Another friend awaits you at Piddler's Green... and until the day we arrive to take them the next step, I hope Whiskey has fun playing with Spike, Binty-La, Ranger, Ginger, Mike, Kate, Duncan, and Hannah... they await me; all our lives are graced by our companions and I truly believe we will be with them again on the flip side. A toast to Whiskey! prost....

I'll raise a glass for him tonight. We lost Buddy just before Thanksgiving and I still miss him, especially when something strikes a nerve. Probably always will. I don't really care about the squirrels in the yard, but I shoo them away in his memory nonetheless.

Sorry about Sgt. Whiskey's passing. He will wait for you at Rainbow Bridge. Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... Author unknown...

Condolences to John and Mrs Arggghh. I can't even bear to think of losing my best buddy, Buddy. Happy hunting, Sgt Whiskey.

Only the Love of God is ahead of the love between a man and his dog. God bless this relationship. They say when you go to heaven you can ask for everything back, I will ask for all my dogs, you can bet on that. Raymond B www.voteswagon.com

When old dogs twitch in their sleep, clever folk figure they are dreaming of chasing down elk and caribou. And because of that, this is really a song that dogs admire as it is about the universe as they understand it: Farewell to the Highlands, farewell to the North, The birth-place of Valour, the country of worth! Wherever I wander, wherever I rove, The hills of the Highlands for ever I love. Farewell to the mountains, high-cover'd with snow, Farewell to the straths and green vallies below. Farewell to the forests and wild-hanging woods, Farewell to the torrents and loud-pouring floods! My heart's in the Highlands, my heart is not here, My heart's in the Highlands, a-chasing the deer; Chasing the wild-deer, and following the roe - My heart's in the Highlands, wherever I go! Sorry for your loss.

When Whiskey gets to the Green, there will be two who will show him where the squirrels are slowest and the digging the softest. Boots and Saddles always *did* travel together and they had an affinity for the military folk...

Damn. Just Damn. I'm sorry John, SWWBO.

Ah, John. Sorry to hear about this. Sarge has undoubtedly received an immediate welcoming south end sniff from Mzirand, a Rhodesian Ridgeback friend of mine - they and all the others should have a fine old time until we all meet again. My condolences. Never easy, 'tis it?
