Sergeant Amanda Pinson

Chuck Simmins feels she is someone you should meet. Obviously, I agree.

So, go meet Sergeant Amanda Pinson. Not a Medal winner, not a deserter, just an average soldier, doing what soldiers do. Don't miss the update, which puts a face to the name.

And like me when I deployed, she left some instructions for her family, too.

Mine never had to be read. Hers... well, now is the time at Castle Argghhh! when we dance: In Memoriam.

We can't honor them all in this space individually, so we honor them through representative samples.

Since her family seems to be reading Chuck's site - leave your condolence notes there.

If you have something rude to say, please leave those notes here, along with an address and phone number where you can be reached. ;^)

RIP the both of them. May we meet in Fiddler's Green. For some squinky analysis, you might want to see the Intel Dump version from Phil Carter over at: http://inteldump.powerblogs.com/posts/1142919528.shtml (mostly a discussion of Front vs Rear (that old gag)).

May they RIP and May the Good Lord grant them that peace.

Rest in Peace, Amanda. Thank you for a job well done and rest well earned. Okay...the tears are coming...gotta run.

I have met Amanda a few times! She was a beautiful, wonderful, strong, fun loving girl! My husband works at Hancock School District (where she went to school), and had the honor of seeing her on a daily basis! She will be missed by so many! I have to say I am so proud of our little community! If you all could have seen the amount of people that came to show their respect her her and her family you would have been so amazed! The streets were covered with people waving flags, posters, tears running down their cheeks! Amanda thank you for all that you are and all that you have done! I know you are looking down on us with your heart filled with love from all of us!
