Back in the day, when I was 13 and Dad was a battalion commander in Germany, I could keep an eye on battalion morale by reading the walls of the stalls in the Sheridan Kaserne (Augsburg) snack bar latrine (I also got my first porn from his troops who manned the gate to the Fryar Circle housing area and got into R Rated movies (woo-woo! How 'bout that Mrs. Robinson? The pasties on that dancer? Yowza!)) because the troops who worked the theater didn't care... I also learned a lot about other people, especially the unpopular ones. And got really...

Heh. The message is *mostly* the same one you thought was funny - except I added the part about "your comment probably posted".

Sheesh. Critics.

But it's boooorrrrriiiiing.
You had something funny in place of it a few weeks ago that I like much better. Like the bits you have when a link goes dead here.

It's Fri(Sat), why hasn't any of the Lushes fired up the 'Ritamatic yet?

Oh, potty stories! LOL One of my favorites involves an "unnamed PV1" 13B, on his first major field exercise after basic and AIT - REFORGER 82.

The first time nature calls for #2, he takes his trusty entrenching tool and a roll of TP into the woods behind the gun line. He's mid-squat over a hole when a couple of German kids ride through on their mopeds, trying to sell bottles of Coke. They laugh, and he gets VERY embarrassed.

The second time, our "unnamed junior enlisted" gun bunny again takes his trusty entrenching tool and a roll of TP into the woods. He's mid-squat, again, when he hears his M109 crank up. He thinks, ok, nothing to worry about, they're just charging the batteries. Then he hears a 2nd gun crank. Then a 3rd. He begins to see a pattern .... and thinks, "Hmmmm. They don't usually ALL crank up at the same time unless ......" So he figures he better hurry and finish, button up. He comes running out of the tree line just in time to see the last vehicle line up to move out. Whew!

After these experiences, he figures he'll just hold it until he can use a REAL toilet without having to worry about German kids or missing a hasty move! LOL

So ... about 4-5 days later, "ohne scheissen", they get to rest for a day or so in a nice, clean grassy area, and even get a chance to shower at a Fussball Klub and go to the PX on post at Schweinfurt. (Conn or Daley Barracks, he can't remember which.) He and some buds are sipping some beer at the bowling alley when nature calls.

To this day, he wonders just WHO unclogged that latrine! LOL

The whole potty thang remionds me of the story: Young Lt, and Old SGT are in the latrine taking care of business. The youing Lt., finishes first and proceeds to wash his hands. The old Sgt finishes and without washing up, heads for the exit. Sgt! calls the young Lt., didn't your mother tell you to wash after doing your business? NO SIR, replies the Sgt. My mom, he explains, told me not to pee on my hands!

At Ft. Huachuca, AZ there used to be a 150 foot tall version of the STRATCOM patch made of small painted rocks on the slope of the peak that overlooked the post. You could see the stupid thing from almost 30 miles away, as you cam over the rise from I-10, headed south on 90. It was orange and yellow and white, with a big lightening bolt through the center.

I was told that one night in late 1973 or early 74, some folks dragged a bunch of old lumber up to the patch and put a big F.T.A. right in the middle of the lightening bolt. Supposedly it could be seen from all over post. They never found out who did it, but I was told the MPs spent days trying. The patch was removed in the late 80s.

:-)

We had a professional graffiti guy in my Airborne class. I kept waiting for the MP's to show up

One day he had scrawled in our latrine PDGLMWMW. Looked like someone had taken about 4 hours to di t with a Dremel. Engraving quality.

He had done it with a pocket knife.

Dunno what ever happened to him. But it took me 3 days to get what those letters stood for out of him finally :)
