Introducing *Canis Scrup'lis*

Heh. Punctilious is posolutely absitively sure that she's got the definitive representation of a scruple.

Punctilious' Scrup'l

Ummm--not quite.

Just in case anybody's operating under the misapprehension that I've got a pack of pink felines lording it over the demesne when they're not skittering through the blogwall to plot the annexation of the blogosphere, I figure it's past time to introduce the miscreants.

Loose Scrup'ls

The furry 55-gallon drum with legs in the foreground is Scout.

At left rear, Muffy the Merciless is sizing up the deer across the street.

Jake is center--he actually *does* have a right ear, but he's got this knack of pointing it straight back whenever he hears something interesting but can't be bothered to actually look.

KC is the ambulatory Brillo pad in search of the cookie she figures is somewhere behind Door Number One.

And this is as close to a formal portrait as it gets. I was lucky the squirrels were raiding the bird feeder at Ed the Neighbor's, otherwise this would just be a shot of gaussian blurs with teeth...

Very cool. I'd been meaning to ask if you had a picture of them... and I see that it's the little one who bosses the rest, huh?

Your tactfulness in not mentioning it's the little *female* did not pass unnoticed...

Hello, Scrup'ls!! Getting furry buddies to hold still and not mob the person with the camera is a real trick.

Barb - It took ten minutes and constant repetition of "Stay--just for a %$#@ing second--ALL DOGS, SIT!" to get the picture. Right after the *click*, Jake went into motion to come see the pic, Scout jumped up and scooted between my legs to get her backrub, Muffy broke for the gate (locked, of course) to go eat the deer and KC sat down and did the doggie head tilt over her shoulder...

purrrrrrrr gotta love a man who loves scruples!

Yeah and Bedoodlewhoopies look like kangaroos. Feh! (But what great dogs!)

Bill - I don't doubt it. I have trouble getting a picture of my furball which isn't simply a nose and whiskers.

That's a cute group of exterior guards, Bill! And I know just what you mean about trying to take a picture but they all keep ganging up on you. I can't even get a picture of the horses that are not all nose.
