Few things are as tough as losing someone you have put so much love into and who loved you back without question and unconditionally.

If there really is a heaven, I know our pets will be there waiting for us when we arrive, tail wagging and ready to play.

We're put on earth to learn to love one another and to be accepting of each other without passing judgement.

Dogs already know how to do that, so they don't have to stay here as long...

Raymond - you *never* have to apologize for liking nature more than guns.

I do too.

Unless I'm in the middle of nature, red in tooth and claw, where a gun comes in handy.

Otherwise, I'd rather take pictures of 'em.

Their sweet lives are too short. My MIL lost her oldest dog a couple of weeks ago. Sweet old girl - talked to us a lot! (The dog, not Mom)

By the by - have you ever been in the presence of wolves when they howl? I visited a great refuge near West Yellowstone one time, and their pack of about 20 were singing. It sends chills up your spine, lemme tell you.
