Another Scrup'l* goes to heaven. The Castle knows the feeling of loss engendered when you lose your Scrup'ls, and the Guard Mount knows a loss.

Now is the time at Castle Argghhh! when we dance sing a soul to the Great Hunting Ground and Tennis Ball Chasing Facility.

*For new Castle visitors, Scrup'ls = Dogs. And it wasn't the Castle Guard Mount who lost the Scrup'l - it was BC, The Imperial Torturer, over at the Rottweiler's place. (note to self - you can't assume people click the links.)

Their sweet lives are too short. My MIL lost her oldest dog a couple of weeks ago. Sweet old girl - talked to us a lot! (The dog, not Mom) By the by - have you ever been in the presence of wolves when they howl? I visited a great refuge near West Yellowstone one time, and their pack of about 20 were singing. It sends chills up your spine, lemme tell you.

The wolf picture is great, I hate to say it but I likes it even more hean the gun pron. I love the outdoors and great pictures like this remind me of how much I love this country and how much I appreicate you guys keeping it protected and safe so we can enjoy it just like this. Raymond - you *never* have to apologize for liking nature more than guns. I do too. Unless I'm in the middle of nature, red in tooth and claw, where a gun comes in handy. Otherwise, I'd rather take pictures of 'em.

We're put on earth to learn to love one another and to be accepting of each other without passing judgement. Dogs already know how to do that, so they don't have to stay here as long...

Dear John and Beth, I'm sorry to hear that you lost a scrupple today. Just the thought makes me very sad. God speed and good hunting.

They of fur and teeth and claw, Who happ'ly bow to human law, They who greet with noses wet, Subservient, but loyal yet, With us do they cast their lot, And with us in great wars they fought, When their time on Earth is done, We wish them on God's fields to run. In memory of: Nikki, a German Shepherd, Touche, a German Shepherd, Buff, a Dobie/Red Setter/Lab mix, Brandy, a Golden Lab, Brandywyne, a Shepherd Terrier mix (don't ask) and all those Scrup'ls with whom we will someday be re-united upon the Rainbow Bridge...

Few things are as tough as losing someone you have put so much love into and who loved you back without question and unconditionally. If there really is a heaven, I know our pets will be there waiting for us when we arrive, tail wagging and ready to play.
