Bling bling... what a co-winkie-dink, wasn't the German released in Iraq?? And now this .... on where did them waskly weapons go?>>>> Syria? http://www.worldtribune.com/worldtribune/05/front2453724.9659722224.html

LONDON — Syria has signed a pledge to store Iranian nuclear weapons and missiles. Should read: LONDON — Syria has signed a pledge to be targets number 1 through "No stone left standing one upon the other" in the Air Tasking Order by storing Iranian nuclear weapons and missiles.

This connects with this at: http://www.nationalreview.com/robbins/robbins200405030839.asp Zarqawi, who claimed credit for having ordered the attack, affirmed the intent to undertake the bombing, but denied that there were chemical weapons involved, saying that the confessions were the result of torture. Another report from Jordan claimed that the chemicals, like the other supplies, came from Syria. It brought to mind the stories that were circulating in the press over a year ago that Iraqi WMDs were being transported in large numbers to Syria. The Iraq-Syrian border is difficult enough to seal now; at the time it was wide open. It would be an interesting development if 20 of the 1,000 tons of chemical weapons that the Blix report found unaccounted for in Iraq turned up in Jordan

Petty Officer 2nd Class (E-5), actually, vs. Seaman (E-3). Sheesh, and the Navy has the easiest of all rank structures ;-) As for the Germans - they let him fly back to Lebanon even though the US had expressed a desire to prosecute? Niiiiiice. With friends like these...

PBS - "...and the Navy has the easiest of all rank structures" If that's so, why does a Navy Captain get paid so much more than an Army, Air Force or Marine Captain? *Something* in the way the Navy designates people has confused the daylights out of the Finance Office... ...or could it be advance hazard pay for manning the conn all the way to the bottom?

Hmmm, I'll let Lex handle that one. All I know is that all those other forces made their officers Lieutenants way too quick....

All *I* know is that every time I stayed at a Navy Lodge, I sure got better rooms than I ever got in the 'Q!

While growing up my Dad (Chief Petty Officer, Aviation Ordnance) used to tell my sister when she got ready to start dating: Never trust a man who wears white and calls himself a Seamen.
