Oh, yeah - I almost forgot...

142 years ago, today, in a brand-spanking new cemetery, full of like, well, y'know, mostly new dead guys, well, this guy, y'know, he like, gave a speech, y'know?

And, like, it was quaint and stuff the way he spoke. Kinda kewl, in an old-timey sorta way.

Last spring I helped judge a speech contest for elementary school students. I drew the 5th Grade Dramatic Speech. I proceeded to listen to about 40 kids recite famous speeches... half of which started "Four score and seven years ago..." Such a wonderful speech, but damn... 20 times in 2 hours by 11 year olds? *shudder*
