CPL French and that Topeka Twit.

Joel, the submariner at The Stupid Shall Be Punished, attended Corporal French's funeral today. This would be the soldier's funeral that Fred Phelps and clan were there to applaud her death by IED. Thanks, Joel, for the report.

Anyone not familiar with what I'm talking about, my post (with links to others), is here.

Bottom line - Phelp's venal little clan were treated better by the people who make what they do possible than they karmically deserve.

Fred - I hope your afterlife consists of being in a cell with large man named Marcellus. And all that entails. Medieval. Come on by - we can chat about it!

Many of you likely saw this post on Arrgggh! , but if you didn't, go there. Be warned, though, it's about the worst kind of anti-troop idiot. The Mother of All Moonbats, if you will - protesting a funeral, and in the most disgusting, revolting, ka... Read More

I was going to make this my absolutely the funniest item of the day, but frankly, I think it transcends that. Bubblehead pens an ode to the Instalanche: “‘Twas the day after Sunday, and all through my site, Not a... Read More

Ah, the good revrn'd has THIS and THIS to look forward to. It's best served cold.

Boq - perzackly.

I had a German friend- Ingo- when I was stationed there in the late 70s. Ingo was in the Intelligence branch of the Bundesgrenzschutz (BGS)- the Federal Border Patrol, responsible for monitoring and patroling the East/West border- I was 3/7 Cav and we worked together for a while. Ingo's brother served with the elite anti-terrorist GSG-9 unit, a model for our own Delta Force. Who remembers the occasion in Germany when two car-loads of Baader-Meinhof and Red Army terrorists were accosted on the Autobahn after a 'secret' conference they held in Hamburg? There is the MSM version of that event (based on "Official Government Statements"), and then there is the GSG-9 version... as told to me by Ingo, via his brother. The Phelps thing brings it back to me... anyone wanna hear the GSG9 version of that action?

hmmmm... dunno who that 'Neffie' character is... dang wannabes! heh

ps... I should mention that the 'official' version of the story has the last three top remaining leaders of the B-M gang all committing suicide that night in '77... heh

Some simply weren't allowed to surrender.

heh- echte, mein Herr... and they weren't even given the option. Seven men and one woman died that night, and that was the best that can be said of them...

Blowtorch? I hear oxy-acetylene cauterizes better. I cannot believe these people desecrated this funeral like that. Even with photos it boggles the mind. It would be worth it to maintain a vigil on this entire family so thousands upon thousands of the people these cretins have pissed off can show up when one of them shuffles off to hell. Only downside is, mean, cruel people seem to live longer. Being a bitter asshole may be the fountain of undeath...

Everyone is missing the point here. Fred has no more to do with true Christianity, or even religion in general, than the televangelist on TV saying God will bless you 10 fold if you send him some money. As the outing of Deep Throat shows on so many levels, the real motivation of a person is not always readily apparent. And as the DT movie character said ... to learn the truth follow the money. Fred is a lawyer. His whole family are lawyers. He has a church that is non-profit that only has his family as attenders (for the most part). He says provocative stuff and demonstrates so people will get mad. Sometimes when people get mad they wish for violence to happen (see above comments). Sometimes when people get mad enough they act out on their emotions. There is ALWAYS a video camera running. When people attack then legal action is brought. Remember you can SAY almost anything but act out and who will be blamed? And if you have a lawyer in the family how much does it cost you to sue and then settle out of court? Sometimes what seems like religion (be it on TV or not) isn't really about faith but is rather about the money. So don't blame the people of faith ... they are being used as much as any other victim. rather blame the grifters who running a con game for the money.

Larry: You do have a point ,but I believe everyone here already is aware that this pack of scum has absolutely no more to do with being "Christian" then the Canadian Federal Liberal Party has to do with democracy...ie: they may name what they do and say this, but their actions speak MUCH louder then words...(off topic I know, but I do really, really, really, hate the Libs)

First of all, thanks for the link to Joel's site and his personal recount of the funeral. Second...this man and his supporters will, without a doubt, burn in hell. My heart is just aching for the French family, but I just can't seem to find the words to express what I think of Phelps. *****&^^^^%%^%%%%)))*^%*@#_ comes to mind though.

Moral of the story: No video camera gets out alive...

Thanks for following up on this, John. I was wondering what would happen. I think we ought to send some nice letters to the Caldwell PD. From Bubblehead's pictures, you can see they managed to a pretty good job protecting Cpl. French from the loonies while still preserving the loonies' rights. Nice handling of an ugly situation.

I'll bet SEAL TEAM One could sidestep the legalities and still bring about satisfactory resolution... But, as one far wiser and more mature reminded me (in the gentlest way possible), "It is so that people like that can exercise their rights, that people like us serve. It is a sign of a healthy system, no matter how repulsive the actual message..." and went on the say, "...But I admit that there was a moment or two when I wanted sic a Marine Platoon at them..." Nice guys, those submarine sailors... (No, not THAT one, may his pressure hull remain water-tight, but another...)
