Toys for the Castle Garage.

CAPT H, ever a shill for Canadian defence (sic) industries, opines that rather than Chinese amphibious jeeps of unknown safety and quality, or rather-hard-to-get-parts-for obsolete WWII German jeeps and tanks - I should go for a nice, North American made, Grizzly.

To which I respond, if I was gonna go Canadian, rather than the minivan he proposes, I'd go with the tricked out SUV, complete with back-up camera (or look into the next county camera) and all the other bells and whistles, the Coyote.

Either way, a new garage would be required.

1. I made the suggestion based on your oft expressed penury. 2. The Coyote floats, but swims badly. The triangular stowage bins at the hull rear replace the prop drives, leaving one's spinning wheels to provide thrust afloat. Cheers JMH

For $25.00/hr and room and board I'd build that garage for you. I do good work but I'm slow, it wouldn't be as cheap as it looks.

Well, I was really just looking for an excuse to post to AFV pics. As for wallowing around spinning my wheels... Stan, hmmm. What are your calorie consumption needs?

How about a Marmon Herrington Armored car? That's a Mk IV.

enormous. At 5'-10" and 245 I can go through a 1/4 of beef every 2 months or a small deer. Alcohol consumption is generally low, a occasional Lininkugels or bourbon. Would visitation rights to the armoury be part of the deal?

Monteith - is that yours? The one I missed seeing because our weekend activities didn't mesh when I was at Benning? It certainly would be a good fit... it's older, and has artillery-like fiddly bits!

Nope. That's a Marmon Herrington for sale by RR Motor Services in the UK. So if you want to do a North Africa Impression, you could. I just realized, there's a fellow out in Kansas working for the Air Force that has an Armored car. You and him might get together for some mutual gun time. He has a Boyes ATR.

Two goldfish in a tank. One turns to the other and sez, "D'you know how to drive this thing?" Heh.
