Just for chuckles, I decided to stand behind--'way behind--an 8-incher to verify the gun chief's statement that, because it was a "beeg boo-let," you could actually see the round in flight for the first few seconds after firing.

He was correct. And just before it disappeared from view, it took a definite stroll to the right of the GT line. It landed inside the impact area--by a frog hair.

John - how many times were your hackles raised by the sound of chuff chuff chuff CHUFF CHUFF CHUFF... =[

Yer looking for sympathy? You know where to find it... in the dictionary, right between sh*t and syphilis.

Hell, *all* of us who stay in long enough to retire are disabled... 's one of the reasons they fought so hard to keep the offset, and when they were obviously going to lose that fight, put the floor so high...

And then played silly games with the phased in implementation. I got my retiree COLA in last month's check, as well as the tiny bump in the VA payment... but I won't see the increase in the offset payment until this month's deposit.

Yeah yeah, I know where to go find sympathy...

Tank. Bad guy. TOW on the wire.

Okay, I'll confess to having suffered a senior moment after working so diligently in the nation's behalf that I've only had two hours of sleep since Wednesday. No, no--you needn't feel guilty over humiliating an old, grey-haired, disabled--waitaminnit--this isn't going well...

Waffen SS cammo scheme, Ostfront, ca 1944.
Not enough blue in the green blotches, "sand" stripes should have a pinkish tinge, should be narrower and ya need to lose those cutsie-poo bluish dots...
