I really really miss this office.

It was a fun place to work.

Army Spc. Frank Guerra prepares to fire rounds from a M109A6 Paladin artillery vehicle as part of a counter fire mission against insurgents near the town of Falluja, Iraq, on Nov. 5, 2004. Guerra is assigned to Alpha 382nd, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry. DoD photo by Senior Airman Christopher A. Marasky, U.S. Air Force.

And only rarely was it noisier than the inside of a Blackhawk... =]

Notice the 1AD patch on his right shoulder. This ain't his first trip to the rodeo, either.

Actually, the gun isn't that bad, if you're on the inside. What always chapped me being in the gun was the hydraulic pump for the rammer. That high-pitched, whiny sound reminded me of aviators. Dunno why.

Doggone, John--how appropriate that you'd associate the sound of a smoothly-functioning piece of hi-tech, precision machinery with us devotees of St. Michael ("high-pitched, whiny sound"--hahahahahahaha...what a kidder)! Beth: Looks like John's one-gay off his eds-may again. Try hiding the Senekot in his applesauce...

Yer right, Bill. A failure-prone needlessly complex piece of gear that when it fails to operate as required results in extra work for everyone... except it's primary operator. Definately reminds me of aviators!

Beth: Looks like the Senekot dosage is about right, but you're going to have to kick the Ritalin and the Midol up a notch... =]
