Happy Thanksgiving!

The dining facility at Camp Arifjan, which lays claim to being the largest dining facility in the Army, is prepared to serve Thanksgiving dinners to several thousand troops. Dusty, in an email, asked me what I was thankful for - he then told me what he was thankful for this Thanksgiving Day... What have you to be thankful for this Thanksgiving? As for me... 1) My wife for doing all she does. 2) My daughter for doing all she does (oi). 3) My Dad, for showing us all how to live...and how to die. 4) The American fighting man...God bless...

Thanks much for the link, Sir, and that was a great slide show re. Fallujah (to which I linked).

Hope your readers will check out the Ford "commercial " (which is more of a "support the troops" message) I linked to yesterday. Anybody who served during the Nam era has to be moved by it.

I was looking around my table today and understood the Blessing God has given us. For the first time in many years the Empty Chair was not for one of our own! For ALL of our children were at our Thanksgiving Feast today. Out of harm's way and home in the fold, as one! What more could could a father ask for?

We still kept the Empty Chair in it's regular setting and my son lighted The Candle to honor his brothers that were not so fortunate to make it back this time. The words he spoke were elegant in their simplicity. And private. Yes, God has placed His Blessings upon our family and for that I am truly, remarkably thankful!

Happy Thanksgiving Castle Argghhh!!! May the Good Lord continue to take a liking to ya'! May He continue to watch over all of our Servicemen, Servicewomen, and their Families! May He also continue to give his Blessings to our Country and all Her People!!!

Re: SSgt Huffman...good shot--thanks. He's part of the 4 ASOG. 2 ASOS supports the 1st ID, 1 ASOS the 1st AD and 4 ASOS are the ASOC bubbas at Division/Corps. They've been busy rewriting TACP doctrine...heh.
