What did the sentry on duty at the Alamo say when he saw the Mexican army arrive? "Col. Travis, the landscapers are here!"
 
I'm a Texan born and raised. You guys might be interested to know that nowadays the schools teach that Mexico was a benevolent Democracy, that the Texians were a bunch of slave trading land grabbing racist gun nuts, and Mexico was simply trying to defend itself against aggression. My 13 year old had Texas history this year and I am amazed at how the story has changed. When I talk about the 'Liberal Agenda' in our schools and folks ask me WTF I'm talking about I can only conclude that they don't have any kids.
 
I'd like to think that this resonates not only with Texans, but anyone who admires a great feat of arms. (ex-22sqn SAS)
