Note for soon-to-be-formerly-Honorable Mr. Ryun.

I am *so* pissed at you.

You couldn't even carry Leavenworth County.

Here's my take.

1. You took us for granted, as our Congressman. Your constituent services were, as I ran into them, perfunctory at best.

2. You took us for granted, as a Candidate. You acted, and mostly campaigned, if that's what you want to call it, as if the job was yours for the taking, until the end, when you suddenly realized... it wasn't.

3. Boyda wanted the job more than you. So she got it. Thanks, now I have an anti-gunner representing the Arsenal of Argghhh!!! in Congress. I feel *so* secure my interests have a voice in the House. They don't. On most of the issues she's taken a stand on.

4. Enjoy your retirement. And don't come back. This election is the last election you'll get a vote from me. You don't get a second chance at this address in Leavenworth County.

Time to deepen the moat.

Time to deepen the moat.

And prepare the DHMO dispensers.

I hate AK's. But tonight I will pick one up. While I still can.

OD briefed on November 8, 2006 08:12 PM

John, can it be that you're now living under Communist rule?

Does it feel like the night the Chinese crossed the Yaloo River?

Have you considered starting an insurgency?

Snark.

jim b briefed on November 8, 2006 08:44 PM

Last time we did that .... insurgency, I believe we tossed out the Brits.

Successfully

Nah, I'm just pissed at Ryun for being such a putz.

If it weren't for her gun views, and I suspect her predilection to pick my pocket for undeliverable health care solutions, Boyda will be tolerable.

Can't I be pissed at my side without snarkage?

Geez, it's not like I waved a bloody shirt and opened up the bunker or something.

As for the Yalu crack - be careful, there is family experience with dealing with Chinese crossing the Yalu - and the Chinese are still pissed at how the family treated them...

I should have guessed you would have had a dog in that fight too. I hope the memories I evoked are merely glorious and not glorious and painful - ie I hope that your descendant made it back ok. If not, please forgive me.

I confess I'm amazed that the Democrats would dare run a gun-grabber in Kansas. And I'm even more amazed that a gun-grabber won there. That's one powerful anti-incumbent swell.

But I personally think that recent events have knocked gun control right off the Democrats' radar. About bloody time. What a useless ball and chain that was.

OD briefed on November 8, 2006 09:29 PM

Did I say descendant? Obviously I meant ancestor.

John, now you know my pain.

The last time, at least since I was allowed to vote, that I WASN'T represented by a gun-grabbing twit-and, as a former subject of the PRK, I've been (mis)represented by some of the most vile-was a short two year period, from 1992-1994, after the redistricting from the 1990 census. The GOP held that seat for one term before losing it again.

Since then, I've been misrepresented by:

Diane "Turn 'Em All In" Feinstein
Barbara Boxer
Ellen Tauscher

Since I moved to WA:
Patty "Osama Mama" Murray
Maria"99th most effective Senator" Cantwell
Adam Smith-no relation to the 'Wealth of Nations' author

I'm starting to look at land prices in Wyoming.

John of Argghhh! briefed on November 9, 2006 05:51 AM

Owen - since I'm here, you can rest assured they both made it back... one brought some chinese steel home with him, but he came home well enough to go play in the Southeast Asian War Game as well.

OD briefed on November 9, 2006 01:28 PM

Glad to hear it John.

Heartless, what's PRK? People's Republic of Kansas?

Haha, sorry John.

John of Argghhh! briefed on November 9, 2006 03:34 PM

People's Republik of Kalifornia
