Okay, you guys, it's time to get the lead out serious about this voting deal. We squeaked by the Intel Dump--and I *do* mean "squeaked," but the shavetails at The Officers' Club (snooty punk kids--no Warrants need apply, eh?) have put on a burst of speed, probably because they whined to Guard Bureau latched onto everybody going into the armory for Admin Night.
Geez, gang, we get creamed enough by the *heavy* hitters. Hey, do we pander to the lowest common denominator by calling John the Forward Observer of Love?
No. We have scruples. Ummm--and bedoodlewhoopies, but that's not germane to the argument.
Does Dusty go all reminiscent over wartime vignettes and...waitaminnit.
Grumpf. Bad example--T-6 can outwrite *Hemingway* any day of the week...
And what's the BFD with SEALs, anyway? Those guys were always happy as clams at high tide to see *me* show up for a party...
So, I'll dangle a carrot. FbL snarked me about not going into detail about getting a Huey into a 110° bank a couple of posts ago. I didn't expand on it because it has to do with some of my ghosts.
Bump the Castle up to where it should be (Vote For Argghhh!) and I'll tell the story.
The 162d contingent already know it...
UPDATE: And speaking of gifts (a nice segue, if I may say so), Barb has a great idea for those hard-to-shop-for folks on your list.
Bill - I've been voting every day! As I suspected, though, the site is smart enough to recognize that all of my machines at home are behind the same firewall, and appear to be the same.
Thanks, Barb - and I recall you mentioned that as a potential glitch.
Ahem. No firewalls on mine (or those of a couple of other folks).
Just sayin'...
Wow. That sure changed since yesterday. I thought the only one you were behind was 365 and officers club. Where the heck did the frogman come from?
I mean, I know froggy, just sayin I didn't see his blog that high before.
kat - Froggy's been maintaining a low profile but a strong lead. Must be the sympathy vote cuz of his operation.
Not that the home limit affects other environments, of course ;-)
The *forward observer* of LOVE????
That kinda makes him sound like a stalker Bill.
Heh.
Oooh, Cass - "Stalker Bill" - that idea just sends shivers down my spine ...
Heh!
"Stalker Bill?" Oh, great...
Now I'm gonna have to tip-toe around this place--ain't that gonna be a hoot with the size thirteens*.
[*weather-change, Brab!]
Heh. Add that visual to the one of John running...
BTwL* running is definitely an image to inspire, no doubt. 'Stalker Bill' sneaking around in size 13 sneakers wearing an extra-large 72-virgins t-shirt and a 27" zipper ... priceless ;-)
*Those that know, know*
Just voted for ya again. Now tell us that story.
It ain't the fifteenth yet.
And we ain't *there* yet, either.
Go find some lonely computers and vote some more!
Ah, but the gap has been closing, Johnny... feeling the pressure?
maybe if there was more than 5 minutes left for voting :)
Okay, Ell-Tee--you guys clinched the "But they're so darned *cute* when they're young!" vote this year...
Just wait 'til Six discovers you kids have enough spare time to blog.
Vector Control Officer, Unit Postal Officer, Fire Marshal, Safety Officer, Field Sanitation Officer, Rumor Control Officer, DRO Monitor, OCS Recruitment Officer (*snicker*--use yourselves as shining examples...that'll flush the quota down the grease trap), Retention Officer...
"Hello, Guard Bureau? It's Bill from Jersey--listen, is Stevie Blum hanging around anywhere? Thanks. Hi, General..."
heh yer own se'f...
