Kat's on deck!

Or, rather, Kat's on *the* deck. She's made Aaron's Deck o' Bloggers, Spades suit, but she's still just the deuce.

And there'll be the deuce to pay if you guys don't drop in and vote and she gets bumped by some blogger with only half her charm, wit, intelligence, enthusiasm, altruism and *gah-rinnn* good looks. So g'wan, get over there. Voting's simple--even I managed to figure it out.

Voting ends at midnight, Eastern.

For dwellers on the Left Coast, you have three additional hours past *my* midnight.

For the aviators, 2400R.

For the Marines, Mickey's hands are stretched *'w-a-a-a-y* high...

YES SIR! Mission Successfully Accomplished Yesterday!

But she's one off from making the deck as of 0935 Central Time.

And John did fullfill his duty by nominating her and getting her 10 extra points, right?

Barb briefed on November 22, 2005 10:01 AM

Yessir - Task accomplished yesterday :-)

kat-missouri briefed on November 22, 2005 10:05 AM

Thanks for reminding everyone, John and for not mentioning any cracked mirrors in regards to my looks. ;)

And the masked menace was kind enough to remind me to go add myself to the map to get 5 extra points so I took care of that. As of this moment I am the 3 of spades.

John of Argghhh! briefed on November 22, 2005 10:06 AM

Yes, he did.

kat-missouri briefed on November 22, 2005 10:08 AM

Heh..now i made a boo boo. Thank you BILL for the reminder and the ego boost.

cw4(ret)billt briefed on November 22, 2005 10:56 AM

Kat - John *did* remind everybody. I just sorta re-reminded 'em.

Cracked mirrors? Just don't fall off your chair laughing when you see me in the MicroBlogfest pic...

John of Argghhh! briefed on November 22, 2005 11:18 AM

Kat is *pleasing to the eye* I assure you.

All Denizennes are. The intellect shining through.

And they all prolly look good nekkid, too, though I *sadly* can only vouch for one.

kat-missouri briefed on November 22, 2005 11:34 AM

LOL Well, probably a good thing since SWWBO knows where the key to your collection is.

John of Argghhh! briefed on November 22, 2005 11:49 AM

Yeah, but she *doesn't* know where the ammo is.

And besides - a Castle Chicks calendar would sell!

All proceeds to Project Valour-IT, of course!

Marvin briefed on November 22, 2005 02:12 PM

They already swing from the chandaliers, must you encourage them to drape themselves across the militaria too?

klkk briefed on November 22, 2005 02:39 PM

Castle Chick calendar..?? Can I take the pics.?? Can I? Can I? huh? huh? I have a really good camera. And I'll volunteer my time.....
And we could make a lot of money for Valour...a LOT...

kat-missouri briefed on November 22, 2005 03:32 PM

we are the calendar girls. Wasn't there a movie about that?

I'd do it. Let's plan on a fund raiser for post Christmas.

ry briefed on November 22, 2005 06:03 PM

I know there was a song about calender girls. Two actually. One from 'Grease' and another sugar pop ditty from before I was born. Not sure if there was a movie though.

Barb briefed on November 22, 2005 07:06 PM

Bill - you said the voting ends at Midnight Eastern time. So we don't have any 'more time' here on the left coast than you do...

cw4(ret)billt briefed on November 22, 2005 11:30 PM

Barb - The voting ends at midnight for us here Right Coasties.

You have three hours past my midnight, because your midnight doesn't arrive out where you are until the middle of the night, your time, which is almost--but not quite--time for me to get up, since it's morning. But it just doesn't feel like morning, since it's 'way dark yet.

If you want to get really technical, my voting ends at 0500Z and yours at 0800Z. And, since the Z is for Zulu™, but the proper term is ackshully UTC, or, "Coordinated Universal Time" (en français, anyway), now you know why all us uniformed types get such a chuckle out of JAG.

Heh. Bet you thought I'd obfuscate things...

Sgt. B. briefed on November 22, 2005 11:40 PM

Chief, we don't do Mickey Mouse anymore... We went digital, being the only service that knew how to change the batteries...

cw4(ret)billt briefed on November 23, 2005 12:06 AM

Gee, Sarge--it must've been a blast trying to tell a squad to flank a hardpoint by moving counter-clockwise...

Sgt. B. briefed on November 23, 2005 02:01 AM

Not really... There's this great thing called "Close Order Drill", it's great for moving large groups of folks across the terrain in a neat and efficient manner, as well as forming the base of movement when tactical formations are required...

Grunts, being simple creatures, limit themselves to simply knowing (55% of the time) their right foot from their left.

Unlike some folks, who seem enamored with the idea of trying to control a mechanical whirleybird, and who spend considerable time simply trying to keep the beast from screwing itself into the ground, as well as trying to juggle a set of dynamics that grunts (and fighter pilots - might I add) long since learned to avoid, grunts are happy to remain confined to a mostly two dimensional plane... (Unless there's either a really big hill, or a tree that has a rope swing with an old tire tied to the end...)
