It's Wednesday, this must be Benning...

...which means my cubicle is *still* way cooler than most of yours.

Fortunately, no one has put me in the Front Leaning Rest. Yet.

Snerk. Just snerkin'.

Last night the Armorer traveled to an undisclosed location in east-central Georgia and visited the Cricket, the Castle Chef, her husband, The Engineer, and Child Labor Units 1, 2, 3, and 4. Plus the burgeoning Interior/Exterior Guard Force. Brats, potato salad, pickle relish, and frosted brownies were the menu. Cricket cooks as she claims. Much discussion, chatting, and gossiping about those Denizens Not Present. Ha! Chew on that for a while...

I see the elections yesterday weren't all that Conservatives could have hoped for. San Francisco just adds to the reasons I wouldn't live there even if given a very large amount of money to do so. I'd have to commute were I ever so misfortunate to, for some reason, be employed there. But then, I suspect all in all, because I don't have proper thoughts, I'm truly not welcome in San Francisco, and they would just as soon I never darken their doorstep anyway. Fair enough. I can take a hint.

New Jersey may have done us a favor with Corzine, getting him out of the Senate... depending on who is appointed to take his place. Virginia? Kilgore appears to have earned his loss. I'm a *tiny bit* conflicted here, as I know Tim Kaine's father (a KC resident), though I've not met Kaine himself.

Looks like the Governator will have to go into the shop for some repairs. All in all, I think this was probably a useful wake-up slap-inna-face for the Republicans, and get them to take a good look at themselves in the run-up for the mid-terms.

*Ahem* *Koff* I see the Kansas Board of Education has been busy. I'm not as concerned about it as the tearing-their-hair liberals or John Derbyshire might be, but I find the whole thing amusing, since my kid isn't in the system anymore. Hee! First, Brown v. Board of Education, now this. Kansas leads the way in Education!

Let's leave this with a new Army recruiting poster for the Air Defense Artillery.

If ID had its own version for math class...would it be possible for all my bad test marks to now be backdated as straight A's?

KEWL!!!!!!!!!

I'm glad you got to visit Cricket and the family units. VERY COOL.

Benning is *only* about 9 hours south of here, you know. Just a short road trip, John!

I see in the office picture that the infantry is still bunching up. One grenade.......

Yes I know the BDU cap indicates an OC not counting him.

I can add that the Armorer is a charming articulate man and we were so glad to be able to meet him.
Dinner was devoured for breakfast...one brat left for CLU2 for his after school snack.

Kind words were said by all about all.

My stapler. Where's my stapler? Give me back my red stapler.(Damn you John. Get to be outside. Playing in the dirt. Hanging out with COOL PEOPLE, while I'm stuck in lab with Miss Thang.)
Yes, you rock. No quit rubbing it in, wuudya?

Corzine may have done the nation a favor by winning the governor's gig in Jersey and thereby leaving the Senate, but it won't be much of a favor, as the appointed person is sure to be a Jersey political hack. Corzine sure didn't do us Garden Staters any favors by becoming governor, where he can really do some serious damage to an already damaged state.
