Do you recall the knuckle-dusters of the late 1800's? .22-short mostly. Little-bitty things, cute, well-made, concealable and not even a slightly useful.

The gun store owner mentioned that this thing might be the ultimate self-defense weapon and I will bow to his greater experience but disagree. How about an un-concealed .45, worn in a nicely tooled leather holster or a tasteful fabric holder in full view of the public? No? How about a matte-black pistol-gripped 12-gauge pump with a matching sling? Either would go a long way toward avoiding those uncomfortable meeetings with people who want to separate you from your liberty.

I dont know a beebee has about as much lead as a 22. cal and depending on how much powder it could be very effective a lot more than put your eye out or piss off. I have shot a lot of stuff with shotguns and even a 4-10 at close range would make short work of a human also remember this guy is saying 10' range. It will definately penertrate may or may not kill but like the guy said the attacker more than likely will turn tail for easier prey gotta hurt 3or4 22.'s in the chest very likely a lung at 10' dammm.

A bb is .177 inches in diameter - much less than a .22. Plus, the bb is a ball, and doesn't have the length of a .22 bullet, so the mass isn't even close. We're gonna put 7 of 'em in a line, with a smallish charge of black powder pushing them. We'll see. I'll probably bite for one and test it - the Arsenal likes curios.

But I suspect (and I could be way wrong here) that it's not going to have much more oomph than a well-made bb gun, meaning that unless you get him in the face, you are just likely to piss him off.
