Jeff Quinton names his Guest Bloggers - congrats on making the team, guys n' gals. Some of ya look like your trying to make a living at this, or at least seeing how many blogs you can get the keys to! 8^D The Castle Argghhh! team is still interested in adding Navy Guy, Marine Guy and SOF guy... and Foreign Guy, too... kinda that Silent Running look
SondraK wants you all to visit GrouchyMedia and watch the helicopter video.
Beth is traveling again - and ran into a Southwest Airlines employee who offers politics with your boarding pass. Note to people serving the public as a part of your job: Politics probably isn't good small talk right now. She's also posting RenFest pictures - and I'm afeared I'm among 'em! (But not yet, Thank Heaven! Not something you want to face first thing in the day... why d'you think she travels?)
Jen Martinez has a heart-warmer about a coffee-company in St. Louis that's doing it's bit for the troops. If you're in the St. Louis area (Rammer?) go toss these guys at Kaldi's Coffee Roasting Company some business, or at least drop by and say "Thanks!" from the denizens of Castle Argghhh! And don't forget these other firms who have joined in (Gonna keep ya busy, Rammer, share the duties with Punctilious, make her visit if you haven't fully relocated, yet!)
Gloria Jean's Coffee, Mr. Coffee, Starbucks, K-Tec, SYSCO, Riley's Coffee and The Fudgery
Okay, SYSCO and K-Tec may be a bit difficult to patronize if you don't already own a restaurant... but let's give 'em some credit, eh? But you could always hit their sites contact buttons and send a nice email, couldn't ya? SYSCO K-TEC
Aaron has a cautionary tale. I took his advice.
In re: Kerry Cheating During The Debate. I'm with Allah, in that absent more info, President Bush and his campaign people should just focus on the next debate. It would be nice if the Prez would spank the Democrat Party candidate for the extreme liberal his voting record shows him to be. Allah also has a nice mideast news round-up.
Valerie at E-nough, is keeping eyes on Khadaffy's latest suggestions (this is beyond giving Libya a permanent seat at the Security Council...) It's no shock to me that a self-appointed leader would see this suggestion as a Good Idea.
AlphaPatriot offers up data on why Bush should smack Kerry around for being a liberal.
I like Kate's piece at The Western Standard simply because it mentions the rock where the Castle perches, and the minimalist nature (I should be so concise, eh?) of it.
Harvey's giving blogging advice again. Personally, I like to keep inserting posts that match my first post for quality. And Harv keeps missing the fact that Gun Pr0n is a great traffic generator. Google hits on guns stays at about a steady 20% of visits to the Castle, and since visits have been on a consistent upward trend, we're probably scoring genuine new readers as a result. Feel free to borrow our Pr0n, as long as you give credit! Hat tip to Teresa.
Man! Keeping caught up with all you guys takes time. Worth it, though.
Speaking of Silent Running (I did, up above) I am in complete concurrence with Wind Rider here. There are 7 cats at Castle Argghhh!. The floors groan under the load. Tom Paine notes that mainstream Muslims are annoyed with the appellation 'Muslim" being attached to the word 'terrorist' as a modifier. A stance fully embraced by the Archbishop of Canterbury. A thought for the Sheikh and the Archbishop... Curb your dog, sir, and I'll quit having reason to put 'muslim' in front of the word terrorist or extremist. Until then, I'll continue to do so, just as I will differentiate 'terrorist' with Marxist for the Shining Path, and "Colombian" for FARC, etc. Put your house in order, sir, and the code inspector won't be so nosy.
Banagor swings a sword at CNN. Always a good time - and easy target.
Welp, time to hang up this edition and head for the shower. The Data Monster is here today and tomorrow, and many, many, many data elements must be tortured to make them give up their secrets while the Monster is here.
Oops! Just hadda add these two, from Beth at My Vast Right Wing Conspiracy:
Florida's updated hurricane evacuation plan, and man jokes.
Thanks for the pimpage. I'll try to remember to include gun-pr0n in my next blogging advice post :-)
