... like Matty o'Blackfive and Greyhawk of Mudville Gazette, not to mention SGT Hook, and people will email me cool stuff about things going on with the big boys.

But, since that ain't happenin' yet, I'll just link to 'em, and bask in the reflected glow!

Greyhawk has an interview with one of the Swiftboat Vets up here, and will have more stuff throughout the week.

Matt, at Blackfive, has posts up on how to help support the troops, keeping promises, and duty. Intermixed with that are some snippets about another former officer, and his sense of duty.

Last, but not least, SGT Hook is a deployed warrior in Afghanistan. He has two projects (at least) that he's managing over there. In addition to being First Sergeant of a deployed unit. One is a morale fund for his soldiers - with the goal of raising enough to sponsor a unit barbecue every month. The other is Operation Shoefly, which aims to gather (and has been doing so quite well) shoes for distrbution to Afghan children. Some good folks have established a website, Hook-a-thon, to help raise money for the good First Shirt's efforts. If you've got some spare dinera rattling around, there are worse places to spend it.
