If you're a lefty troll, move on, please. Your website is here, and your catchy campaign song is here.
If you're a lefty who likes guns and things military, you're still welcome here!
I took a two week hiatus from WW in order to run with the Spirit of America Blog War of '04. We, the Castle Argghhh! Fighting Fusileers for Freedom won in the competitive sense - but the whole Team Spirit won for Spirit of America. Now it's back to asking for money or time for the Bush campaign (see? I only hit ya up for one thing at a time!). Kerry Waffles is spending 25 million on an ad campaign to tout his military service. He's going to ask you to conveniently ignore his post-military service... which has been a lot more consistent than his military service. My opinions on that subject can be found here, and in the comment thread here.
Nor do we need a Euro-butt-kissing appeaser in the Oval Office who will do a "Sir Robin and the Three-Headed Knight" in Iraq. Except that now he says he won't do that. The only consistent thing in this man's public pronouncement's are his inconsistent flip-flops. Gotta look at his voting record. That is consistently to left of Ted Kennedy.
There are two frankly far more important reasons I won't vote for Waffles.
This is the most important, as noted by a friend of mine several weeks ago that I'm still running with:
As I said before, Bush proposes more wars, Kerry proposes losing them. A hard choice is shaping up this fall.
If that is the only choice, it's not a hard choice. You can always not go to war - but losing on you're already in is not an option in my book. On a technical note, Bush proposes more campaigns in the Global War on Terror, not more wars, just the one we currently have. We shouldn't have stopped WWII after the Operation Torch landings in 1943, so, too we shouldn't stop this one. That doesn't mean the character of the war won't change - less big stuff, more small groups of 'rough men' sneaking around doing violence on our behalf.
But I really can't express it any better than the Imperial Animatrix, wondrous provider of graphics for this site!
Forget what a slanderous sonofabitch he is for now; it's the actions he would take if elected President that people need to be aware of and contemplate. He'd immediately pull out of Iraq, leaving the Iraqis at the hands of terrorists, who he would then apologize to - yes, a little ass sucking is just his cup of tea - not just to the terrorists of the world, but the UN as well...
The real thrust of this story: Senator Kerry is STILL working against the good of the United States! One email containing similar language was sent to overseas Dimocrats, enlisting them to launch a letter-writing campaign denouncing the President's foreign policy record.
But after that - the most important thing about the next election is Judges. Bottom line is that the Democrats have spine. They may collectively be idiot nanny-statist wealth re-distributors, but they have discipline, as their successful fight on the judgeships shows. The Republicans show no such discipline. The only way we can rely on not having the bench further stacked on the left side of the aisle is by keeping the Democrats out of the White House. I'm afraid the Republicans in the Senate don't have the collective gumption to be the drag on the process the Democrats have proven they can be.
Today is Wictory Wednesday. Every Wednesday, except when it's a Thursday, I ask my readers to volunteer and/or donate to the Bush 2004 campaign. Or, if you are a lefty lib type, to volunteer or donate to the fringe candidates on your side to drain votes from any Dem nominee. That way you can be true to your principles and still help our guy out! Today I'm recommending the Nader campaign. Every dollar he spends helps your local economy and isn't available for Waffles.
If you've already donated and volunteered for the Bush campaign (or for unelectable lefty candidates), then talk to your friends and enlist them in this battle for America's very soul.
If you're a blogger, you can join Wictory Wednesdays simply by putting up a post like this one every Wednesday (or Thursday), asking your readers to volunteer and/or donate to the Bush campaign. And do e-mail 'em at wictory@blogsforbush.com so that they can add you to the Wictory Wednesday blogroll, which will be part of the Wictory Wednesday post on all participating blogs:
John,
