sorry....but I just noticed the USCG in the lower left. I guess that's JUST in CASE..I just don't think I would want to be soo close to the flight path.

These guys are the best in the worlds at this. Always have been. I've seen them several times at Pt. Magu. They always make me feel like saluting the flag.

What the picture fails to show is that both planes are bouncing up to 2ft everywhich way. I had a boss who did 2 years in the Snowbirds and he had some team video shot from his cockpit. During some manouvres, his wingman's wing tip was less than a metre away from his canopy, bouncing up and down in the breeze. For the Snowbirds, margin of error was a term used by non-team members.

This shot comes from an annual show the Blues do at Pensacola Beach. The cutter is out there to make sure the massive number of boats at the show don't violate the demonstration space primarily, but also to provide response if something bad happens. If you're ever down this way in the early summer, get out there and check it out, the things they do over the water is incredible!
