Go vist Rosemary, Queen of All Evil - stealer of commenters! (And that *is* Evil!)

She linked to my Kerry post below. And apparently very few people who disagree with me want to do so in my comments, they go back over to her place to argue about it. Must be all the guns. Well, and the fact she told 'em to...

Well, I AM evil and a Queen. People always do what I tell them to. :-)

Besides, maybe they were afraid you kick their ass.

Interesting thread. I thought the piece was fairly well balanced and it pointed to a higher level of thought on the subject than I had seen elsewhere.

Not that it matters. As has been said people that decide based on this sort of thing have already made their decision.

1. A couple month ago, a conversation with the Harvard Crimson editor in JK's day was published. Based on recollections in part, the article strongly indicated that JK was Not a war supporter during his university days.
2. Following graduation, JK visited his recruiting office to seek a delay of one year to study in Paris. It was denied and he then visited the Navy recruiting office for further career counselling.
3. There is a dearth of information on what he did during his destroyer time, but I remember vaguely a mention that his performance was "uneven".
4. One commentator several months back, reported that JK arranged shore postings for his crew following approval of his States-side posting.
5. He evidently began/resumed his anti-war efforts WHILE he was still serving on an Admiral's staff. Mind you, he was also looking for advice on starting a political career from the noteables he made contact with as the Admiral's staffer.
6. How would Mr Bush fair if the roles were reversed? I have a 'history' of the Bush family which works very hard to discredit all members; unfortunately the author admits that a key feature of the Bushes generally is that they look after their subordinates; during one of GHWB's commercial low points, he fired most of the company staff, but made certain all were able to find other employment.

Cheers

Sorry about that, the truth is I was on my Mac, which really didn't like one of the java scripts you have here. Kept flickering and giving me that stupid beach-ball-of-death. I'm on my windoze laptop now which doesn't seem to mind as much. But you have earned a place on my blogroll!

John of Argghhh! briefed on May 2, 2004 09:36 PM

Well, cool, Mark - but what are you sorry about? Nothing in the thread to worry about but that poor dog!

Oh - I get it - not commenting here, but over there.
