Saturday Morning Coffee and Blogs.

After cleaning up the mess left by the NRO-alanche yesterday, I've settled down to some coffee and catching up on blogs. I've been neglectful of others of late, comes from being a dirty capitalist and earning money working long hours.

Kos stuck his foot in his mouth, and while others have covered it, if you haven't read Sir George, his is probably the best. The Commissar weighs in concisely. The Commissar also has a new map - which I like because it's a war map and I'm on it.

Cosmo linked to me! Whee! I got half a month's traffic in one day. Hopefully I'll score some new readers. Going through the logs, at lot of gubbermint people read the Corner. I have new visibility at the Department of Justice. It's all legal guys, see the disclaimers!

Susie survived April Fool's Day with no blood, just broken glass.

The Bejus Pundit is a little confused. He thought he saw Atrios admitting that the tax cuts are working.

Any of my military readers with good stories to tell - share 'em here - or, if you want 'em really read, send 'em to Matty or Frank J.

Greyhawk notes that retention goals are being met, and like She Who Will Be Obeyed, wonders how that jibes with the Left's assertion that when the soldiers come home they are going to quit and come looking for us ChickenHawk WarBloggers. Note to troops. I got beer, c'mon by.

Jen Martinez is all over Fallujah. I think she's taking it personally (note to Jen - that's a Good Thing!).

Juliette has invited a friend in to blog his views of the invasion of Iraq. Ought to be interesting, since he was involved - and sounds like he may not be all for it. But if Baldilocks gave him a password, I think we can expect a thinking man's discussion of the subject, not hysterical rants. Which will be nice. I've had enough rants from both sides!

Blaster wonders why the Left is trying to smear Clarke as gay?

Citizen Smash is setting up a support the troops rally and links to a letter from a teen who supports the war - despite the cost.

Fellow retired Redleg Don Sensing has an interesting book review, as well as the other usual quality stuff.

Kim du Toit wonders why democrats aren't for expanding health insurance options.

Allah also has some words for Kos.

Owen at Boots and Sabers has some political analysis for you.

Overtaken by Events found a "Hmmmm" kind of idea about Immigration Control.

Eric and I have a comment conversation about the jerk who jumped from an airplane onto someone's patio.

Russ does a little do-it-yourself-surgery. Lesson? It's important to keep your tools sharp! Gee, I wish I'd had an electronic camera back on the day that I sliced my finger open a million miles from nowhere and stitched myself up. Yes, campers, I carry an army medic's kit with me when I travel.

The Ghost of a Flea, in addition to going national, wants to be a Bone Collector, too.

Jack at Random Fate has a hammer. He doesn't want any more. The one is enough. Here's hoping Entropy spares Jack on this pass.

Gunner is not happy. And not shy about it, either.

E-claire has guest bloggers - but I go there as much for her pictures as I do her comments!

You should make at least a weekly visit to the Feces Flinging Monkey.

Wind Rider at Silent Running is not fond of Kofi Annan. Hmmm. Me either, frankly.

The Chaos Overlord has been studying too hard.

Triticale is moving to Munuvia *and* has scored an entry onto Dean Esmay's blogroll! Woo-woo! Now both SWWBO and Trit have scored blogroll entries on bigger blogs than I have! Good job!

Hang in there Jen. It's going to be a long campaign! ;-)

It might interest you to know that the boots on the ground Grunt is ticked. Not the blazing up I'm gonna' kill you DRT type of anger, but the slow burn gonna' finish the drill type of anger. When the Op starts the winds will fan that into something that would be awesome to behold if it were not so flat-out scary!

Cold, calculated, precise, and with prejudice!

If you'd like a pretty decent insight into this Op plan you can check out:

I WILL NOT comment on what I think but this is a good read. I DO NOT endorse or speculate this take on what's being considered. I just like the thought processess and research behind the site. How's that for a disclaimer? Think it'll get me off the sh*tlist? ;-)

One thing I missed on your rant, er, discussion was that while the clerics in Fallujah are backpedaling by denouncing the desecration they have yet to condemn the killings. Not once. Oops!

Should've posted this on your site but I'm trying to butter up John. I may need another part some day! he-he! BTW J, mission accomplished on the TGS para stock. It definitely rocks and cut fractions off of mount time. He needed it too in one sitrep he found himself in and swears it saved his and his bros bacon. (notice the use of the term describing a pork product? it was intentional!). :-)
