For those of you who are confused by the Heinz reference - John Kerry is married to Theresa Heinz, heiress of the Heinz fortune... which is what enables Kerry to use so much of his own money (like mortgaging that excess house) to fund his campaign.

I was wondering what you thought of Clarks comments about Kerry:

"Senator [Dole], with all due respect, he's a lieutenant and I'm a general."

I was never in the military, but I was in ROTC for a while in college. Hence, I went to school with quite a few lieutenants and no generals.

Maybe I am reading it too much into it, but in the context of the full discussion, I found it very arrogant.

I thought I'd like to hear your thoughts.
