For those of you out there (not too many of my readers, I'm sure) who think that it's Bad Form to humiliate Saddam - I have two responses: 1. It is simply not possible to humiliate a man who had his enemies fed to industrial shredders, or, if the hanging was botched, had 'em dropped into the basement and gassed.

Okay, three things. This is reputedly one of the punishments suggested by the UN, since they can't bear the thought of a dead Saddam. (He must still owe some money for that sweet Oil For Food scam).

Good point. But, there's no Veteran's Day or Memorial Day or Martin Luther King Day either. You could, I suppose twist the pumpkin and turkey together into Columbus Day... what with the Native Participation in the first Thanksgiving...
