The Sky Pilot at One Hand Clapping has a great post on the fun of warriordom.

Like Don, I was an aerial observer as a young El-Tee. I can vouch for all the fun described in his post. I also got to fly in the backseat of an RF4 flying from George AFB (now closed) in California to St. Louis, where it was going for a rebuild... and picking dogfights over the Nellis Range before we headed on to St. Louis and McDonnel Douglas. I didn't barf - but I did pass out more than once.

Read Don's stuff here. While you're there - go up one post and read Don channeling Austin Bay describing Czech Republic President Vaclav Klaus slapping EUrocrats around. Ah, the sound of a good butt beating. Go read Don's comments and follow his link to Austin Bay at the Strategy Page. But, if you are too lazy, you can go direct here. But if you do you'll miss the F14 post, so I don't recommend it!
